Roadtrip
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Roadtrip is built with your privacy first. There are no accounts, no ads, and no personal data. Everything you play stays on your own device.
What we store on your device
Your scores, streaks, seen questions, settings, and your Roadtrip Pass status are saved only in your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device. Clearing your app data or uninstalling the app removes it.
Anonymous usage stats
To understand which games people enjoy and to fix problems, the app sends small, anonymous events (for example: "a game was opened," "a Daily Mix was finished") to our own server. These contain no personal information — no name, email, IP-based identity, or contents of your play. A random id the app generates for your device lets us count unique players without knowing who they are. We use no cookies, no ad networks, and no third-party trackers. This is off by default — nothing is sent unless you turn it on in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage stats, and you can turn it back off at any time.
Leaderboard
Roadtrip has an optional global leaderboard ranked by trivia questions answered correctly. When you open the Leaderboard, the app sends only two things to our server: the display name you chose (a fun random one by default — please don't use your real name) and your number of correct trivia answers. No other information is shared, and it uses the same anonymous device id described above. You can change your name any time, and you never have to open the leaderboard.
What we don't do
- No user accounts or sign-ups.
- No advertising or ad networks.
- No third-party trackers, and no cookies.
- No location, contacts, microphone, or camera access.
- No selling or sharing of your data, ever.
Payments
The Roadtrip Pass is an auto-renewing subscription. On the App Store, payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID, and subscriptions are managed for us by RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your Pass is active. To do this, RevenueCat processes your App Store transaction/receipt and an anonymous app-generated user id — never your name or card details. On the web version, card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Apple, RevenueCat, and Stripe each handle payment data under their own privacy policies.
Children
Roadtrip is a family game designed to be safe for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
